Some of us use the HS-225 for the Mantis wing with good results, I had mine stripped only a couple of times during spot landings, that is to be expected at times. I usually have a couple of extra gear sets around, there is only one gear made out of plastic in this model, and that is usually the one that goes, so it does hurt to have to buy the entire gear set for just one plastic one, it beats having to buy a new servo and again this if after many, many dork landings...
... I did buy a HS-5245MG the digital version of the HS-225, sounds better on paper, the level of granularity is much better than the 225, I had many problems with it at LISF1 this year.
I red the comments from the link above, gears don't magically strip, maybe it was already damage or he made a hard landing with out knowing it - who knows?

| I use JR DS368s for everything now. I ahve not compared the torque but if you have a Mantis wimg with a single flap then you need to be sure that the servo has at least as much torque as the HS225. |

| The JR DS3421 would be suitable for a single flap. I have used them on single flap models before. It has some more power than the DS368 and is a mid-size servo. |

| Are some people splitting the flap into two halves and running two servos for the flap? |
