This year is a team selection year for the US F3J competition. ESL flyers have participated in this ultimate R/C soaring competition event for all three previous selection cycles (i.e. '97, '99, '01). Currently, the ESL F3J team is practicing for the F3J TS. More flyers and/or helpers are needed to help bolster the ESL effort to try to put ESL flyers on the US F3J team. The F3J TS contest will be held during Labor Day weekend and will be either at Denver, Colorado, or Gainesville, Florida. Please contact Josh Glaab, Tom Kiesling, Mike Lachowski, Ben Lawless, or Oleg Golovidov for more information.

F3J team selection update
Jan Kansky
08/31/03 - The ESL guys are doing really well. Josh is 3rd, Tom is 4th, and Mike is 6th going into the fly offs tomorrow. First is Wurts, Jolly is second. The top four are within 4 points of one another. We have flown 7 seven rounds with one throughout. Saturday was rainy with just two rounds flown, and today was a 5 round day with rain in the morning, but flying till 7pm. See the scores

Good afternoon,

We need to get coordinated for the NATS (which includes 2 days of F3J) as well as the F3J team selection. F3J at the NATS should be a real good tune-up for the F3J TS and I would think we should be able to field several teams for this (like Tom K, Mike L, Ben L., John Hauf, Hans, Phil, Eric S, Fritz, Jan, and on and on!). F3J at the NATS uses frequency allocation to form/control teams. Right now, one team is me/Tom K/ Mike L/TBD (perhaps Ben L). We need to get this team completed with the freq arranged and develop the next team. Coordinating freqs should also help a lot for 2M and Unlim.

LETS HERE FROM YOU!!!!

GO ESL!!!
