I have a JR XP9303 with Synthesized module and was wondering what receiver to use in my DLG?? I would like it to be a synth receiver, unless there have been too many problems with them.

Let me know what your experiences have been. Temporarily I will be using a JR610UL. What do you think of this receiver as well (I know this one is not a synthesized model but it is what I already have and was thinking of possibly going to some HLG contests in the future.) The systhesized receiver would help to ensure that I could fly.

What would you recommend????

Thanks

I don't have any experience with synthesized recievers, but I can tell you that I use the JR770 PCM reciever for my DLG models.

For contest work the PCM is nice - especially when you fly only a few feet over someone elses TX.

If you take the case of the R770, it should be close to the JR610UL for weight. The 770 is one really solid RX. I've flown it with the antenna rolled up in a fuse out as far as most guys are willing to fly before I started noticing some problems. Still waiting for a small JR PCM Synth Rx... But the R2000 is nice for larger models if you have the space and budget.

Yes, you can use the JR Synthesized TX module with a regular crystal RX.
I flew about half of last season with one without any problems.

I just purchased a JR RS6UL for my Apogee. Its very small, its light and it has the plugs at the end, so its easy to fit in.

I alos have the 610UL and it has worked well for me at CRRC, Polecat and LISF HLG contests. Recently I purchased the 790 synth receiver. Same size and weight to the 770 but synthesized. This is a PCM receiver and from preliminary tests seems to work great. I have to figure out how to get the case off to save some weight though. It weighs , I think, 0.6 oz.

I have not tried it in a DLG, but Hitec has a .3 oz 5 channel, Ch 1-5+6, so you can set up your flapperons. It automatically selects pos or neg shift.

$40 with the crystal, it is a low cost receiver with a 1 mile range. Has worked fine in my parkflyers.

I'm fond of the Berg Microstamp 4, but I haven't put a lot of flights on mine yet.
